To make the food, you need 1 ½ cups dried pinto beans, 1 ½ cups dried kidney beans and 1 ½ cups dry great Northern beans as main ingredients. Additionally, the dish contains 14 cups water, ½ pound salt pork, a large onion, 1 ½ cups ketchup, 1 ½ cups brown sugar, three cups water, three teaspoons dry mustard and three tablespoons molasses. Aside from these ingredients, you need 1 ½ teaspoon salt, ½ pound bacon and three cloves garlic.
Chop the onion and bacon. Mince the garlic. Put the beans in a large pot. Heat the pot over medium fire. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Remove the pot from the stove and let the beans cool for an hour. Drain the water from the pot and put the pot in a Dutch oven. Add the remaining ingredients. It is best that you put the salt pork on top of the dish. Cover the dish and cook in the oven for three hours. Do not forget to set the temperature of the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. The ingredients include a medium can of baby lima beans, a medium can of white beans, a medium can of pinto beans and two big cans of pork and beans. In addition, the dish has three cups chopped onions, ½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup hickory barbecue sauce, ¼ cup ketchup, two tablespoons dry mustard, a tablespoon of black pepper and eight strips bacon.
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well and top with bacon strips. Transfer in a baking dish and place inside an oven that was preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
