Homemade Salsa

A special and flavorful type of sauce that is usually offered with Mexican and Spanish dishes or refreshments, salsa has fresh or preserved tomatoes, tomato sauce and other spices like pepper and chili. The sauce can also be served as a dip for delicious snacks like nachos. It can also be used as a special sauce in sandwiches. Learning how to make homemade salsa is very easy. Homemade Salsa Guacamole

To make the sauce, you need a can of plain and diced tomatoes, ¼ cup chopped onion, two tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, ¼ teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt a clove of garlic and a small fresh jalapeno chili. For the guacamole, you will use three ripe avocados, two tablespoons fresh lime juice, ½ teaspoon coarse salt, ½ teaspoon red pepper sauce and a clove of garlic.

Combine the tomatoes, cilantro, sea salt, onion and chili in a large bowl. Peel and mash the avocados in another bowl. Add the lime juice, red pepper sauce, garlic and coarse salt in the bowl. Mix well. Take three spoonfuls of guacamole in a small bowl. Get a spoonful of the first mixture and place on top of guacamole. Serve with nachos or tortilla chips. Refrigerate the remaining mixtures.

Homemade Fiery Fruit Salsa

For this tasty and sweet sauce, you should have a can of roasted and diced tomatoes, ½ ripe medium size mango, ¼ cup green onions, two tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, a tablespoon of fresh lime juice, a teaspoon of chipotle chili in adobo sauce and ¼ teaspoon coarse salt. Place all the tomatoes in a food processor. Process the tomatoes until all were chopped well. Transfer in a medium size bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix. Serve with fried fish, pan fried meat or tortilla chips.

Homemade Chile Salsa

The ingredients needed to make the sauce are six chiles de arbol, a teaspoon of olive oil, two medium size tomatoes, ¼ cup quartered and peeled onion, two tablespoons tomato juice, three cloves peeled garlic and a teaspoon salt. Pour the olive oil in a pan and place over medium heat. Add the chiles and roast. Add the garlic to the pan and the onions. Continue cooking until the color of the garlic turns brown. Transfer to a food processor and add the remaining ingredients. Process until the mixture becomes a puree. Serve and enjoy.
